Platform Lifts for Straight and Turning Stairways
Roped Sprocket Drive
Two parallel steel tubes are custom
built for each stairway.รก They support and guide the
platform. These tubes contain a continuous loop of
wire haul rope that attaches to the platform through a
slot in the upper tube. An electric motor at the top of
the system turns the drive cog, which moves the wire haul
rope, moving the wheelchair platform up and down the
stairway.
